Summer travel-study trips

The "Teaching American History" Grant is a federal grant sponsored by the United States Department of Education. Grant funds are provided to support programs which strive to raise student achievement through improving teachers' knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of American History. Western Illinois University and the Hancock-McDonough Regional Office of Education have worked together to develop a professional development program that combines readings in American history, workshops with history experts and summer travel-study trips.
